Damanhuri Abas is an educator, community advocate, and electoral candidate with the Singapore Democratic Party, having contested in the 2015 and 2020 General Elections. With a longstanding commitment to youth development and education, he began his career supporting at-risk youths before founding his own motivational education business. He later served on a regional upliftment project supported by Temasek Foundation, and as Director of an Islamic college.
Damanhuri holds a Master’s in Educational Management (NIE/NTU), a Bachelor’s in Architectural Studies (NUS), and additional qualifications in counselling and teaching. Active in community leadership, he served on mosque boards for over a decade and is a proud Sepak Takraw enthusiast.
A father of five, Damanhuri is passionate about inclusive progress, education, and building a society where every citizen has the opportunity to grow and contribute.
