Bryan was elected to the Central Executive Committee of the Singapore Democratic Party in 2011, and is currently the Vice Chairman of the Party.
He was an inaugural member of the Young Democrats (YD), the youth wing of the Party, and held its Vice-Presidency from 1999 till 2001. He became the YD's first elected President in 2001 and also served as chief drafter for the YD Charter, the youth wing's Constitution.
He became SDP's youngest ever candidate when he stood in Hong Kah GRC in the 2001 General Election. In the 2015 and 2020 General Election, he contested in Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC.
Born in the Year of the Dragon in 1976, Bryan emerged among the top 10% of the nation's PSLE cohort. He completed his secondary education in Victoria School and thereafter decided to pursue a Diploma in Business Administration at Temasek Polytechnic.
Bryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Monash University, with majors in Marketing and Management. He graduated in the top 15% of his cohort.
He was subsequently invited to join the exclusive invitation-only Golden Key International Honor Society which recognises students with academic excellence and scholastic achievements.
He is currently working as an Assistant Director in a local public hospital and is married with 2 kids.
